Téléphone portable simplifié Raz

As a caregiver it's the best investment. My mum at 95 was struggling with every phone we bought even with a simple app installed she had problems and we would have to spend 2h sometimes 8h fixing something she did on it. 8 can now control everything from home on my phone and so far she's managing very well with the Razz memory phone and loves it. So thank you so much for this phone ,it makes life a little easier for both the caregiver and the the ones having to use it😀.

I LOVE the caregiver app so I can manage my Mom's phone from afar while she is in Long Term Care. The large "HANG UP" button that is always largely displayed prominently on the screen during our calls is completely unnecessary, distracting and cuts our calls short. There is no need for her to hang up any of the calls. The person on the other end of the line can hang up. My mom is constantly asking why it says "Hang Up." She says she's not going to hand up and then she does. I called to ask to get it removed, but they said it can't be. Please adjust the programming of the user interface.

Overall it’s not a bad phone but did have a few issues.
1. The reminders would work for couple of times and then would stop even though it was set to remind daily. I had to keep deleting the reminders and then re-entering the reminders. That was very frustrating as I live in another province and would have to call my parents to see if they got the reminders.

2. I had set up a telephone number for the taxi and it worked great until the taxi company changed their number to add an extension. This really confused them as they kept pressing 2 (the second caller on their phone aka me). With being almost blind and not too cognizant they had trouble with accessing the number pad.

3. We bought the charging station. They don’t like it because the light at the bottom that shows if it’s charging is very hard to see.

This phone is a lifesaver for my husband with Alzheimer’s. Very easy for him to use, and a breeze for me to manage from the app.

This phone has been a game changer for us. My mother was finding an iphone impossible to use and because of that, we had difficulty reaching her. This has empowered her to feel more independent. I am so grateful for this device.

Volume is at maximum but my father struggles to hear the calls unless he is in a quiet room.

Mom has dementia and is in assisted living. She couldn't manage her iPhone anymore. This is simple for her to use. I like that I can control incoming calls to prevent scanners. Love the video feature so I can put eyes on her the days I don't go in. I need to remind her to charge it when battery is running lower so its a great feature I can keep an eye on it. Any questions I had were promptly answered when I contacted the customer assist service. Would highly recommend for persons with cognitive issues.

Our loved one is starting to have difficulties with her smart phone however the lack of an alarm clock, pictures, or ability to play solitaire were deal breakers. Would love to see a version that could have more features for those in mid-stage that are falling prey to scams and struggling to use their phone but not ready to give up everything.

Très solide!. Ma mere tremble et elle e happe souvent son téléphone. Elle l'a depuis 2 mois et son téléphone est très bien protégé !

Simple d`utilisation pour les personnes en perte de fonction cognitive, mais en anglais seulement. Commentaire: j`aurais aimé que lorsque la personne recoit les appels, elle n`aurais qu`a appuyer sur la photo de la personne qui appel pour répondre et non pas sur le rectangle vert au bas de l`écran. J`aurais aussi éliminer le rectangle rouge pour raccrocher au moment de recevoir les appels. Car souvent lorsqu`elle recoit les appels elle appui sur la photo pour répondre et évidemment cela ne fonctionne pas ou elle appui sur le rectangle rouge et elle nous raccroche au lieu de nous répondre.
Je sais que je peux programmer le téléphone pour qu`il réponde seul après 2 coups de sonneries.

this phone was a godsend. We tried an app for her android but she craftily found a way around that (dementia is a confusing illness). This phone solved everything. For those considering this phone for their loved one, it allows you to shut off the keyboard so that they are only able to call those who are programmed into the phone. This has been great for preventing random calls to strangers. It also allows us to program reminders for her to take medications. The 911 feature contacts us whenever she calls 911 (thankfully not due to an emergency so faR).

The only drawbacks is that the phone has a camera but the program does not alow for use of it. Additionally, as we had to turn off the keyboard, she is unable to get voice mails as her service requires her to input numbers in order to hear messages.

The Raz memory phone is fantastic phone for our senior family member with dementia. The simplicity makes our it easier for our senior member to use. The caregiver app allows us to customize and monitor the welling or our family member. Perhaps if the phone was capable of few simple apps to help stimulate the senior, that would be ok.

J'ai été vraiment contente de ce téléphone car il est très simple d'utilisation pour ma mère qui est Alzheimer avec difficultés visuelles et difficultés de préhension. La seul bémol, est que l'écran est trop sensible. On effleure à peine et c'est immédiatement activé.

Works great for my dad with cognitive decline. However I wish that with auto answer on, the phone is always on speakerphone. Wishing that there was a way to turn speakerphone off after it’s answered.

Nous aimerions que le son puisse être plus fort pour les personnes qui n’entendent pas bien.
Nous avons dû appeler Raz pour faire fonctionner certains paramètres. Ils ont réglé les problèmes.
Utile si les messages textes envoyés au numéro de la personne âgée soient envoyés au responsable des paramètres.
Une autre option serait la possibilité d’enlever les mots Hang Up en bas de l’écran. La personne âgée pensé que c’est une commande.
En général, bon téléphone. Sommes satisfaits.

Phone is easy to set up and works well. Battery life is limited though. Cannot leave off charger for more than a day.

For someone just starting out with Alzheimer's disease, this cell phone is perfect. I'd also recommend it to someone who just needs a cell phone and has never had one. Even though the version is only in English, this cell phone is very easy to use. Both for the user and the programmer. I also bought all the accessories that are sold for this cell phone, which are also very easy to use.
The usage fees are the same as any other cell phone.

I highly recommend it.

Phone is hard to handle for people with dementia. Video call often doesnt have audio.
Wouldn't buy it again

Well thought-out phone but needs improvement. Battery life is not long enough. It also needs to be able to speak French, especially when announcing incoming calls.

Our mother, who is cognitively impaired, has regained her freedom with this phone. She can contact us whenever she wants. The device is top quality, and my sister and I love the ability to adjust the settings to suit the situation. We just love it!

My father, who couldn't read and had no aptitude for new technology, found himself isolated to call for help when he ran out of electricity, since he no longer had a landline. Unable to use an ordinary cell phone, no matter how simple, the RAZ Phone is simple. Even though it's in English, my father still understands the red or green principle RED (NO) GREEN (YES) He doesn't have to push 15 buttons to open it. As soon as he takes the phone in his hand, the keypad eliminates itself and is available, all he has to do is press on the photo of the person he wants to talk to, and confirm by pressing on the green button to confirm .....reassuring for him and for us .and I control the entries .I've blocked all entrances other than those of people he knows, so there's no risk of scamming .TRULY PEACE OF MIND for him and for us .

Of course, there's an adjustment period, but this phone is simplified for people with Alzheimer's and very well designed for caregivers.

Works very well. However the volume is not loud enough

I only used your phone for a few days as my father subsequently passed away. I really liked how simple it was to use and the low price. The only drawbacks for me were that you couldn't lock the home screen; it was easy to make a call by mistake just by holding the phone in your hand. Also, in Canada, I don't think it's possible to lock 911 at the moment. I think my father would probably have made a call by mistake if he'd been able to use it before he left, but it's a really nice product!

Ideal, easy-to-use phone. Simply press the face of the person you want to reach. Another very practical advantage is that when a call is received, the cell phone opens the call so the person doesn't have to push a button to open the conversation.
Small points to improve:
1- be able to open the phone after, say, 4 rings instead of two
2- even at maximum volume, the incoming sound is not loud enough for a person with hearing difficulties.

In conclusion, this telephone is an indispensable tool for a person with cognitive difficulties, as it provides security and enables us to reach each other at all times.

Getting it at an early stage so dad gets use to this phone now before he really needs it. I wish phone messages were an option. The reminders are of no use because they disappear quickly. I want reminders to stay on phone till user clears it. It is a great phone and the simplicity is fantastic. I want my dad to be use to the phone in the hopes that as his functions decrease, he will be able to use the phone comfortably. For this reason, more options should be available to customize for the early stage person.

Great phone! Recommend it for everyone who needs a little care.
