Eugeria Brings Lumeen to U.S. Senior Living, Expanding Access to Immersive VR Platform Used in 900+ Care Settings
Exclusive U.S. distribution brings senior living teams portable immersive experiences designed to fit into everyday care
ST. LOUIS — October 22, 2026 — Eugeria today announced the U.S. commercial availability of Lumeen, an immersive virtual reality platform already used in more than 900 healthcare settings internationally. Through its exclusive U.S. distribution partnership, Eugeria is bringing Lumeen to senior living communities across the country ahead of its U.S. debut at the 2026 LeadingAge Annual Meeting.
As mobility, vision, hearing and cognitive needs change, a resident’s world can become smaller. Experiences that once felt ordinary — an outing, a favorite place, a change of scenery — can become harder to access. Lumeen was created to help open that world back up.
With more than 150 curated experiences spanning travel, nature, relaxation and reminiscence, residents can explore somewhere new, revisit somewhere familiar or simply spend a few minutes in a different environment — without leaving the community.
Staff can also run synchronized experiences across multiple headsets, see what residents are seeing from the tablet, and use built-in prompts to encourage conversation before, during and after the experience.
VR is already familiar to many care organizations. The challenge is making it something teams can actually use throughout the day.
Lumeen is lightweight and portable, launches in under 3 minutes, fits over eyeglasses and can run core experiences without Wi-Fi.
“The opportunity with VR isn’t to add another device to the care team’s day. It’s to create more meaningful moments for residents, in ways staff can actually sustain,” said Valerie Larochelle, CEO of Eugeria. “The real return comes when the technology works beyond the demo — on a Tuesday morning, on a resident’s birthday, and months after the team has been trained. That’s what stood out to us about Lumeen. And it’s where Eugeria plays an important role: helping teams turn great technology into something that becomes part of everyday care.”
Eugeria will provide training and ongoing support as Lumeen rolls out across the U.S., helping communities integrate the technology into resident engagement as teams and needs change.
U.S. pilot programs are already underway with major senior living partners in Missouri, Texas and California, with early communities exploring how Lumeen can fit across group programming, one-to-one experiences and other moments throughout the day.
Lumeen will be available to experience at the 2026 LeadingAge Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, October 25–28.
