Product Details

The TabTime Super 8 is a portable pill organizer with a built-in alarm system designed for persons who take medication multiple times a day. It is especially helpful for persons living with Parkinson's or dementia, where precise timing of each dose matters. The device features 8 numbered compartments, each holding up to 6 capsules or 18 small tablets, and 8 independently programmable daily alarms. When an alarm sounds, a red LED light on the lid flashes and continues flashing until the case is opened, acting as a visual indicator of a missed dose. The case opens with an easy magnetic catch designed for persons with reduced hand strength or tremors. Volume is adjustable between 60 and 75 dB, and all settings are controlled with just 3 extra-large buttons. The compact, foldable design fits in a jacket pocket or purse. Alarm times are remembered daily and can be changed at any time. Includes a countdown timer for timed-interval doses. Powered by 1 CR2 battery. Endorsed by the German and Swiss Parkinson's associations.

  • The TabTime Super 8 Pill Organizer is suitable for persons living with Parkinson's who need to take precisely timed doses throughout the day and benefit from a portable, alarmed pill organizer.
  • The TabTime Super 8 Pill Organizer is suitable for persons living with mild to moderate dementia or memory loss who still manage some aspects of their own medication routine with caregiver support.
  • The TabTime Super 8 Pill Organizer is suitable for caregivers looking for a compact, all-in-one pill box and alarm device they can program once and hand to their loved one for daily use.

When a medication schedule involves multiple daily doses, timing becomes just as important as the medication itself. This is particularly true for persons living with Parkinson's, where taking a dose even 30 minutes late can affect symptom control. For persons living with dementia, the challenge is compounded by difficulty remembering whether a dose has already been taken.

We chose the TabTime Super 8 because it combines pill storage and timed reminders in a single, truly portable device. Unlike a separate pill organizer paired with a standalone alarm, the Super 8 keeps everything together: the pills are right there when the alarm goes off. The 8 individually programmable alarms cover even complex multi-dose schedules, and the countdown timer adds flexibility for medications that need to be taken at regular intervals rather than fixed clock times.

The design details reflect 20 years of development and customer feedback. The magnetic catch opens easily for people with reduced hand strength or tremors, which is common with Parkinson's. The flashing LED stays active after the alarm stops, so if the person missed the sound, they still have a visual cue the next time they look at the device. The two volume settings (60 and 75 dB) provide a reasonable range, though caregivers should note that this may not be loud enough for persons with significant hearing loss.

Its compact size sets it apart. The Super 8 folds flat enough to fit in a pocket or purse, making it practical for outings, appointments, and travel. For a person who is still mobile and active, that portability is a meaningful advantage over larger tabletop dispensers.

Insert the CR2 battery into the compartment on the back of the device.

Set the current time and date using the 3 control buttons following the included instructions.

Program each alarm by selecting the alarm number (1 through 8) and setting the desired time. Unused alarm slots can be left off.

Load each numbered compartment with the corresponding medication dose. Snap the compartment lids closed.

Carry the device in a pocket, purse, or place it on a table or nightstand.

When an alarm sounds, the buzzer plays for 30 seconds and the red LED begins flashing. Open the magnetic catch to silence the alarm and access the compartment for that dose.

If you miss the audio alarm, the flashing LED continues until the case is opened.

To use the countdown timer, set the desired interval through the timer mode. The device will alert you at each interval.

Refill the compartments daily or as needed based on your medication schedule.

Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not submerge in water.

Replace the CR2 battery when the low-battery indicator appears on screen.

FAQs

Yes. The magnetic catch was specifically designed for persons with reduced hand strength or tremors. It opens with minimal effort.

The countdown timer lets you set a repeating interval (for example, every 2 or 3 hours) instead of fixed clock times. This is useful for medications that need to be spaced evenly throughout the day.

The device uses 1 CR2 battery. Battery life varies with usage, but a low-battery indicator on the LCD screen will alert you when it is time to replace it.
