Joy for all
Bring comfort and connection to your residents, one interaction at a time
Joy for All by Ageless Innovation offers two complementary ways to support residents living with cognitive decline: sensory companions for moments of calm and comfort, and reminiscence-based card games for social engagement across generations. Simple to use, no training required.
For residents who need comfort: the Companion Pets
Joy for All Companion Pets are lifelike, interactive robotic cats and dogs with built-in sensors that respond to touch and movement. They purr, bark, wag, and tilt — designed to feel like the real thing, without the feeding, vet bills, or allergen concerns.
- Realistic soft-touch coat and heartbeat
- Sensor-based responses to petting, hugging, and voice
- Suitable for individual rooms and common areas
For residents who need connection: the Games
Joy for All takes beloved classics and rebuilds them with older adults in mind: larger high-contrast fonts, easier-to-handle pieces, and adapted gameplay that still delivers real fun. Every game is inclusive across generations and cognitive abilities — residents, staff, and visiting families can all play together.
- Redesigned for accessibility: larger text, higher contrast, easier-to-handle pieces
- Inclusive across cognitive levels and generations
- No facilitation training required
Who is Joy for All for
Memory care units
Companion Pets provide calm and comfort for residents experiencing agitation or distress. Games give activity staff a ready-to-use tool for group programming that works across cognitive levels.
Long-term care homes
Both products integrate naturally into daily life — individual comfort through the pets, and social engagement through structured game time with residents, staff, and visiting families.
Activity & recreation team
The games are designed to run without facilitation training. Pick a game, gather a group, and let the conversation flow naturally from there.
Families and loved one
During visits, the games give families and residents something meaningful to do together. The Companion Pets are also a great conversation starter, and a source of comfort residents can enjoy long after the visit ends.
The story and research behind Joy for all
Born from a belief that play has no age limit
Joy for All was created in 2015 by a team at Hasbro convinced that play, joy, and connection could make a real difference in the lives of older adults. In 2018, the founding team spun out and formed Ageless Innovation, dedicated entirely to reimagining how we live and age together.
The Companion Pets have been the subject of rigorous peer-reviewed studies demonstrating their effectiveness in reducing agitation, improving quality of life, and alleviating the effects of loneliness and social isolation in older adults living with cognitive decline.
