The Idem Connected Pill Dispenser is a secure, automated medication dispenser designed for persons living with mild to moderate dementia. It pairs with the Idem Smart Clock via Bluetooth to deliver clear visual and audio reminders at each scheduled dose. When the person tips the dispenser, the correct dose is released and a real-time confirmation is sent to the caregiver through the Idem mobile app. Medication schedules can be set up and adjusted remotely from the app, so caregivers do not need to reprogram the device in person when prescriptions change. The dispenser holds 28 compartments and supports up to 9 doses per day. A locking key prevents unauthorized access between doses. It runs on 4 AA batteries or USB-C power, and includes dosage identification rings in English and French plus blank rings for custom schedules. Available with a white opaque or transparent lid.

It automatically rotates to the correct compartment at the scheduled time, and the paired Idem Smart Clock announces the reminder with both sound and a visual message on screen. When the person tips the dispenser and takes their medication, the Idem app sends a confirmation to the caregiver in real time. If the dose is missed, the caregiver is notified and can follow up with a phone call or visit.

  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Wash the medication tray with warm water and mild soap as needed, and dry thoroughly before reloading.
