Two options are available.

The Idem clock can be connected to the Internet either by:

  • Connecting the clock to a private Wi-Fi network (no subscription required).
  • Opting for a monthly ($9/month) or annual ($99/year - save $10) subscription to the mobile connection offered by Idem (The SIM card is already included and installed).

You can choose to opt-in or cancel your subscription at any time. After receiving the clock, you will be prompted to select your connectivity preference from the Idem companion app.

* The Idem clock does not function when connected to a public Wi-Fi network. Public Wi-Fi networks are commonly found in hotels and are identifiable by the requirement for entering a password or room number in a separate window from the device's Wi-Fi settings. Public Wi-Fi networks provide occasional internet access for visitors, but they are not suitable for the use of a connected object like the Idem clock. In this case, we recommend subscribing to the mobile connectivity service offered by Idem.

  1. Download the Idem companion app on a phone and/or tablet (available for Android and iOS) and create your account.
  2. Plug the Idem clock into an electrical outlet (and connect the clock to the Wi-Fi (no Wi-Fi setup needed if using the SIM card mobility plan).
  3. Link the clock to your Idem companion app by entering the provided activation code.
  4. Introduce the clock to your loved one. (Read Idem’s tips!)

The Idem clock has a battery life of 6 to 8 hours depending on it’s usage. It requires to be plugged in an outlet for ongoing use.

Language Options for Display The Idem Smart Calendar Clock display and read out loud feature are available in English, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and French. However, the personalized communications (messages, notes…) can be in any language, you can even use emojis!

App and Settings Management Please note that the mobile app and settings management on the clock are currently available only in English and French.

Multiple users (unlimited amount) can be created in order to share and coordinate tasks among caregivers and create a supportive network.

The companion App is for family caregivers. It's free, and is available for Apple and Android phones and tablets.

Un gros wow pour cette belle découverte!

Un bel outil de communication qui nous permet simplement d'envoyer des rappels, des messages, ou des photos à notre mère. Ultra facile à utiliser de part et d'autre, ça simplifie notre vie, surtout lorsqu'on habite à distance!

Génial !

Nos avons acheté cette horloge - calendrier pour notre mère de 86 ans qui a un problème avec sa mémoire récente. Celle-ci l’aide dans son quotidien pour lui rappeler ses heures de repas à la salle à manger de sa résidence, l’heure de ses soins, Rv coiffeuse, ses émissions de télévisions et tout cela programmable avec une cellulaire ou tablette à distance. On aurait dû acheter cet article bien avant qui nous aurais facilité aussi notre quotidien et éviter bien des appels téléphoniques. Un peu cher mais ça vaut vraiment le cout$.

C’est un excellent produit, il aide à communiquer avec la personne, à planifier les rendez-vous et activités et même au départ à la prise de médicaments. C’est un outil génial! On ne peut plus s’en passer!

Très utile!

Ma belle-mère de 90 ans en est ravi. Elle a facilement accès à l'information principale dont elle a besoin au quotidien. Très facile d'utilisation. Le fait de consulter et de remplir son agenda papier était devenu difficile pour elle. Maintenant, nous le faisons pour elle en inscrivant tous les événements importants, sans oublier de lui envoyer de petits mots d'amour qu'elle apprécie tant.
