A Look Inside Alzheimer's is a book co-written by three authors with direct, personal experience with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Susan Dublin and Patricia J. Kimmerly share their own accounts of living with the diagnosis, while Marjorie N. Allen writes from her perspective as the spouse of a person living with Alzheimer's.

The book addresses real, everyday challenges: loss of independence, personality changes, and difficulties communicating. Quotes from professionals in the field are woven throughout, grounding the personal stories in broader clinical context.

Written for both people living with the diagnosis and their family caregivers, it offers a rare combination of lived experience and insight from multiple vantage points.

  • A Look Inside Alzheimer's is suitable for people living with an early-stage Alzheimer's diagnosis who are looking for perspectives from others with shared experiences.
  • A Look Inside Alzheimer's is suitable for family members and spousal caregivers seeking a deeper understanding of what their loved one may be going through.
  • A Look Inside Alzheimer's is suitable for professional caregivers who want a more personal, human window into the experience of living with Alzheimer's.

One of the most consistent challenges in Alzheimer's caregiving is the sense of isolation, both for the person living with the diagnosis and for those caring for them. Understanding what a loved one is experiencing is difficult when so few accounts come directly from people living with early-onset Alzheimer's.

This book stands out because it includes first-person narratives from two people living with the diagnosis, alongside a caregiver's account. That combination gives readers multiple entry points into a shared but rarely documented experience. The inclusion of professional perspectives throughout also helps families make sense of what they're observing, without requiring a clinical background to understand.

The puppy has become an essential part of my husband's life. He accompanies him everywhere he goes. The dog serves as a contact tool with the other residents as well as the staff. It is his pet that calms him when needed. The dog reassures him by its continuous presence.

My husband takes medication 8 times a day. He has Parkinson's disease. I've been looking for a pillbox with an alarm that could meet his needs. The TabTime Super 8 is exactly what he needs. Less stress for him and for me. Thank you for your help!

I recommend it for all grandparents who want to leave memories for their children.

Great customer service. I got a quick phone appointment to help me program the controller, the instructions were clear. The controller makes life much easier for my mother who is not cognitively impaired but rather visually impaired. Thank you Eugeria!

Great! Our mother loves it! We made several USB keys, with different music styles: French songs, American crooners, Christmas music...) it is possible to store them in the compartment behind the device. Of course, it is us who have to change the music... But the operation (playing the music) is very simple for our mother.

Great! My 84 year-old aunt takes her medication every day. She doesn't have to wonder if she took it or not because of this mechanism.

Je trouve qu’il est très bien mais pour mon père, il sert peu pour le moment car il ne prends pas la peine de le regarder. Peut-être que ça viendra à force de lui rappeler !

I give it a five, because I think the concept is great. But my mother even had trouble placing the pieces. I was explaining to her as your explanations (suggestions) are mentioned. She understands in the moment but unfortunately it stops there. She says she likes the concept of the colors and that the colors are beautiful, but it stops there. To think that she was already doing 3000 piece puzzles, and now it's really quite difficult for her. Her neurological side is very much impaired.

I bought this game to liven up our visits to my partner's grandmother who lives in a nursing home. The cards provide a variety of conversation ideas. We were to talking about her past life, but we often talked about the same topics before. A great idea!

Excellent, my mother became attached to the dog right away. She pets it and communicates with it. She, who has always had a dog - this brings her a certain comfort.

Perfect for the television, but issues if there is also a decoder.

Great game to get the whole family talking!
Many unexpected anecdotes!

Great - newfound fun- although far from the 1000 pieces of a few years ago, which he no longer remembers, the ease and speed of doing this "game" made him so happy and proud: wonderful moments!

Would be more helpful with additions of slightly more complex activities as my mom quickly completed the ones present right now.

It might keep her interested in using it more often.

Very good quality but too long. They should make smaller sizes.

I bought this calendar for my 88 year old dad. He doesn't have much memory loss. But I thought the concept was ingenious. So much so that it could be just as practical for us in everyday life! It blends in well with the decor and we love it!!!

My mother LOVES it, great product !!!!

I noticed with the time change that it was not done automatically on the clock. I had to move to change the time.
You will understand that not all seniors have the facility to make this change.
That said, the beneficiary is very satisfied.

My father has vascular dementia. He had to leave his cat behind to move into his new semi-autonomous residence and the Joy for all Cat has certainly filled in some of the gaps. Even though he knows it's not a real cat, he picks it up, pats it and even talks to it. Sometimes he tells me that he is sure that there is a piece of life in his cat :)

This calendar is a real plus to help, facilitate the reference points in time for our loved ones who are suffering from Alzheimer's disease or other cognitive problems. This calendar offers a sense of security and independence to our people which also makes them a little more autonomous. They feel less dependent on their loved ones!

Thank you for your great product!

My 98 year-old mother is very happy with the frame she received in December 2020. My only regret is that I didn't know about Familink sooner! It's really great and very easy to manage.
