Meet the creator of True Doors
In 2014, Rahzeb Choudhury and his team began with a one-off life story project, taking pictures of elders’ front doors and collecting their life stories - the stories behind the doors - in video format - while applying decals of those front door photos - at a care home in the south of the Netherlands.
Through conversation, they had a serendipity moment; realizing for elders with more advanced dementia, there may be therapeutic and life quality benefits. They started True Doors and have been improving the lives of people living in residential long-term care since then.
